What you will study
In your first year, you'll build your foundational skills and knowledge in biomedical science across semesters 1 and 2. Topics include microbiology, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, and immunology. In semester 3, you'll start to explore topics with a greater clinical focus, including clinical biochemistry and pharmacology.
In your second year, you'll go into more detail – investigating causes and treatments of cancer, how and why infectious diseases develop, how human genetics are used in the modern world, and more. You'll also complete a research project. In your final semester, you'll develop your clinical and professional skills in a healthcare context.
