Youll examine the inequalities and discrimination within society and the criminal justice system. In turn, youll understand how legal and sociological approaches can challenge these inequalities.<br/><br/>Be supported by the joint expertise of both legal researchers and criminologists. With their guidance, youll learn to tackle legal problems in a realistic way. Youll work collaboratively to analyse real-world legal issues, through our problem-based learning approach. Youll also draw on their expertise when undertaking your own legal and criminological research.<br/><br/>Engage with individuals currently working in and adjacent to the criminal justice system. Youll have the opportunity to network with and learn more from employers and alumni in York Law Schools regular events. Youll also have the chance to work directly with people currently working in the criminal justice system in a major group project.<br/><br/>Develop your employability through career-focused events and opportunities. During your studies, youll have access to York Law Schools Careers and Development Programme.
