Expect to be inspired by Mesolithic flint scatters, Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age mines, Iron Age hillforts, Roman settlements, medieval castles, and more whilst studying at Bangor University.<br/><br/>Practical in focus, field trips and archival visits let you encounter evidence from the past first-hand on this History and Archaeology degree. From early prehistory to the recent past, you can delve into a wide range of periods, practices, cultures and themes in the history and archaeology of Wales, Britain, Europe and the wider world. You could learn to use digital survey equipment and drones, experience a range of landscapes and take part in archaeological digs in North Wales.<br/><br/>Taking an analytical approach to the past not only develops your ability to explain and contribute to present legacy, but also develops transferable skills that are highly valued by employers today. <br/><br/>‘Placement Year’ and International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time. Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)
