Job Prospects

Job Prospects

Brighton believes hands-on learning equals confidence at work. It puts technical knowledge and practical skills at the centre of teaching, so no matter the subject, students won’t just learn theory, they’ll put it into practice.

Ranked among the top 4% of universities worldwide (Center for World University Rankings 2025), Brighton combines global recognition with a strong focus on employability. Each and every degree is built with career readiness in mind, ensuring that students graduate with the skills that employers are looking for. As a result, almost 9 out of 10 of Brighton’s UK graduates are working or studying just 15 months after finishing their course (Graduate Outcomes 2025).

Brighton’s expert Careers and Employability team is on hand to support you throughout your degree and beyond. They can help you with volunteer, placement and internship opportunities outside your studies and also support you to find a flexible, part-time work that fits around your studies.

Campus Life

Student Life

Student Life

Life as a Brighton student will be full of chances to explore new things, learn new skills and make new connections.

Whether students are into city living or prefer an outdoor lifestyle, they can experience it all in Brighton. Those seeking fresh air will enjoy time on the beach or the countryside of the South Downs, while those seeking nightlife will have plenty to choose from, including many live music venues.

There are also fantastic independent shops and cafes in the famous Brighton Lanes and North Laines, which are great places to get together over a coffee and admire the colourful houses and street art.

Students can socialise through over 100 student-led clubs and societies run by Brighton Students’ Union (SU). The SU runs events ranging from live music to quizzes to society-run cultural events, and often these are free.

For those into sports and exercise, there are over 60 sports clubs to choose from, either playing competitively or socially. There’s an option for everyone, so students can make friends inside and outside their course, all within the facilities on campus.
