Our Law with Modern Languages degree allows you to gain a solid grounding in Law whilst also studying a modern language (French, Spanish, German or Chinese).
A degree in Law and Modern Languages helps to develop practical competencies including research skills, an analytical mind, the ability to listen, form sound arguments, read and quickly process complex information. Our Law with Modern Languages degree allows you to gain a solid grounding in Law whilst also studying a modern language (French, Spanish, German or Chinese).<br/><br/>A degree in Law and Modern Languages helps to develop practical competencies including research skills, an analytical mind, the ability to listen, form sound arguments, read and quickly process complex information. You can choose to study the language as a complete beginner or as an intermediate learner!<br/><br/>At Bangor University, we bring the study of law to life. Take part in mock trials, internal moots and benefit from a annual University careers fair. <br/><br/>This course not only meets the academic requirements for qualification as a barrister (Bar Standards Board compliant), but also provides essential knowledge for aspiring solicitors. Amongst an attractive array of modules, you can also choose vocational subjects tested in the Solicitors’ Qualifying Examinations (SQE) providing you with a gateway to professional training to become a solicitor.<br/><br/>Combining law with language skills can give you a distinct advantage when seeking work, not to mention significantly expand the boundaries of potential employers.<br/><br/>‘Placement Year’ and International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time. Including grade H5 in relevant modern language - for modern languages main route. No language required for language-beginners' route.

OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma
Extended Project
Points can include a relevant Extended Project (EPQ) but must include a minimum 2 full A-levels, or equivalent. Please contact us for more information.

Relevant modern language preferred for modern languages main route. No language required for language-beginners' route. General Studies and Key Skills not accepted.
T Level
T Level qualifications are accepted on a case by case basis.
Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)
We will accept this qualification in conjunction with other level 3 qualifications.
