It fully prepares you for the demands of teaching in Wales and beyond.<br/><br/>This initial teacher training degree prepares to you become a primary school teacher, with bespoke skills needed to teach. The combination of academic and school-based learning helps you understand how to transfer theoretical knowledge into your teaching practice.<br/><br/>Learning theory and concepts relating to early childhood, childhood development and education, you’ll be taught by internationally renowned staff at the forefront of leading research into teaching and learning pedagogies. In each year of the degree, you are placed in a different lead school, purposefully identified for their best use and development of the Curriculum for Wales. Adding breadth and depth to your experience, this includes different age ranges and settings.<br/><br/>Bangor University benefits from a longstanding and excellent reputation for teacher education. On a comprehensive range of placements, you will be supported by experienced staff to learn how to plan appropriate schemes of work and consider assessment and reporting strategies.<br/><br/>It’s an exciting time to become a teacher in Wales as Education in Wales enters a new era.
