• Graduate with a degree accredited by three industry-recognised bodies – the National Council for Training of Journalists (NCTJ), the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) and the Professional Publisher’s Association (PPA) - and complete professional qualifications alongside your studies
• Make invaluable industry connections during a work placement with organisations such as national and regional media, the BCC and Sky Sports

Course Accreditation
You’ll graduate with a degree accredited by three industry-recognised bodies – the National Council for Training of Journalists (NCTJ), the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) and the Professional Publisher’s Association.
National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) accreditation is very prominent on the course and you'll study towards the Level 5 NCTJ Diploma in Journalism during your three years at BU. You'll have the opportunity to gain this important industry qualification and graduate with the Gold standard (A-C) or standard diploma. Gaining this important industry qualification will increase employability and ensure you are ready for a fast-paced newsroom. The tuition and first sit exam fees are included in university fees.
The Broadcasting Journalism Training Council (BJTC) only accredits courses that offer the highest professional standards of journalism training in the UK. The industry respected accreditation will boost employability and ensure you leave with the skills that the broadcast industry requires.
The Professional Publishers Association (PPA) is the main publishing industry body which promotes companies involved in the production of media, supporting the creative economy at governmental level in the United Kingdom.
