Central Campus

Central Campus

Central campus is one of the things that makes the University of Leicester special. Students love that central campus is located just a short walk away from the city centre, but far enough away that the University has its own purpose-built spaces.

As well as academic learning and study spaces, there are lots of places to hang out with friends, grab a bite to eat or take part in sport, whether that be in the Danielle Sports Centre, Students’ Union or on the green expanse of Victoria Park just next door to central campus, on a sunny day.

The best way to experience central campus is at an Open Day or Campus Tour.

Campus Life

Student Life

Student Life

Life at Leicester is more than just what happens in lectures. Our campus is small enough to feel like home and big enough to branch out and experience new things. Wherever students walk around campus, they’ll come across cosy corners, green patches, and other spaces to meet up with friends, take time out, or get ahead on their assignments. At Leicester, students can shape their own experience the way they want.

Students have the freedom and support to express themselves – it’s the best way to ensure success and manage their wellbeing. They can join a student group, make use of our first-rate sports facilities, get involved with the arts, cheer along on the sidelines, or all of the above. Either way, getting involved in campus life is worth it, as students will make some great memories – and even greater friends.
