You'll learn in a fully digital Radiography Skills Laboratory equipped with advanced imaging technology, including artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled systems used in modern clinical practice. You'll also benefit from interactive 3D anatomy resources and clinical placements, helping you develop confidence with diagnostic imaging equipment and a strong understanding of human anatomy.
NHS Learning Support Fund
Eligible radiography students may receive at least £5,000 per year through the NHS Learning Support Fund, which does not need to be repaid.
Recognised Qualification
This course is aligned with the standards of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the College of Radiographers (CoR), ensuring you develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required for practice. Successful completion enables you to apply for HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
Practice Placements
Clinical placements are integrated throughout the programme, providing opportunities to apply your learning in real healthcare settings. Working alongside radiographers and healthcare professionals within local NHS Trusts and imaging departments, you'll gain practical experience and complete the practice hours required for HCPC registration.
What Will I Study?
You'll develop the technical, clinical and professional knowledge required for diagnostic radiography, including the safe use of imaging equipment, image interpretation, anatomy, physiology, pathology and patient care. The course explores health and disease, quality assurance, clinical audit, health promotion and effective communication, while developing your ability to evaluate practice and contribute to healthcare improvement. Graduates leave prepared for a career as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
