This one-year course will enable you to top-up your qualification to a full BA degree.**<br/><br/>If you are working on a paid or voluntary basis with children and young people in a setting such as a school, nursery, youth group or library service, or working in childcare or foster care, this course is a great option.<br/><br/>From being immersed in the educational setting and engaged in academic study, you’ll deepen your knowledge of the factors that shape children’s development and learning, their identities, and the critical periods that influence their development into adulthood.<br/><br/>Through inquiry, debate, reflection, and a purposeful integration of literature and current evidence related to child development and special educational needs and disabilities, you’ll make meaningful connections to develop your practice and impact.<br/><br/>Youll examine child development from a range of perspectives, exploring psychology, sociology, policy and the history of education. 240 credits of advanced standing (usually a Foundation Degree or similar; for example, a Diploma of Higher Education or other accumulated credits at levels 4 and 5) in a related area). GCSE English grade C (or equivalent) If you do not have English at GCSE grade C or above you will be required to take and pass the University Equivalency tests for entry onto this course.
