Build intelligent systems that see, understand and decide. This specialist Artificial Intelligence degree combines strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, programming and software engineering with advanced study in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision and natural language processing.

From your first year, you will design and build real AI systems through practical laboratories, team projects and individual project work. Teaching is informed by our AI Research Centre and Institute, giving you access to academics working on real-world AI challenges across healthcare, autonomous systems and intelligent data analysis.

A defining feature of the programme is the substantial 450-hour individual AI project, allowing you to develop expertise in an area that matches your interests and career ambitions. You will graduate with a strong technical portfolio demonstrating your ability to develop, evaluate and deploy AI solutions.

The course includes an optional placement year, providing the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and strengthen your professional skills. Graduates are well prepared for careers including machine learning engineer, AI consultant, research scientist and AI developer, or for further postgraduate study.
