Prepare for professional practice as an ethical, reflective and evidence-based counselling psychologist. This three-year, full-time Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology combines advanced academic study with the development of the practical and professional skills required to deliver psychological services.

You will learn to work thoughtfully with complex psychological issues across a wide range of settings and client groups, including individual adults and children, couples, families, groups and organisations. The programme supports you in developing a professional approach grounded in psychological evidence, ethical awareness and critical reflection.

Leading to the award of Doctor of Psychology (DPsych), the programme is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the statutory regulator for practitioner psychologists in the UK, and accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
