Speech and Language Therapy MSc

Prepare for a career as a speech and language therapist with this intensive two-year MSc. You will explore the foundations of speech, language, communication and swallowing, as well as the disorders that can affect these functions.

Combining rigorous academic study with practical experience in our specialist speech and language clinic, the course covers phonetics, linguistics, audiology, biomedical sciences, neurological conditions, learning disabilities and autism. You will also develop critical research and analytical skills while learning to apply evidence-based practice in professional settings.

This programme is suitable for graduates from both health-related and other academic backgrounds. It provides a fast-track route to a pre-registration health qualification, enabling you to qualify in two years rather than the usual three to four.
