Applied Psychology BSc (Hons)

The degree course aims to provide you with a solid grounding for building a career in psychology-related disciplines.<br/><br/>Vocational modules allow you to understand how the key theories of psychology are applied in the professional context, and the course explores the use of psychology in areas such as health, education, sport, forensic, clinical and the law.<br/><br/>This allows you to learn about psychology in practice from different perspectives. The course aims to offer you the opportunity to gain real-world exposure across the course through engagement with a variety of psychologists from different fields, enhanced with visits and guest speakers (subject to availability).<br/><br/><strong>Why you should study this course</strong><br/><br/><br/>• This course aims to provide you with an understanding of the disciplines found within psychology and an awareness of how these are used.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Opportunity to undertake an optional placement or study abroad year.<br/><br/><br/><br/>If you choose to leave the degree course after successfully passing Year 1, you will be eligible for a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Applied Psychology.
