<strong>This Biomedical Science BSc (Hons) degree aims to give you valuable hands-on experience in the fascinating field of biomedical science. It prepares you for a rewarding career in healthcare, research or industry.</strong><br/><br/>The foundation year of this Coventry University degree will be delivered from our CU Coventry campus. Course delivery from year 1 of the degree onwards will be from our Coventry University campus.<br/><br/>This year offers an introduction to the subject and helps you develop the necessary skills for degree-level study. In addition, you will also explore key skills such as research methods, scientific fundamentals and promotion techniques.<br/><br/>This course aims to provide you with a solid grounding for building a career in biomedical science. <br/><br/><strong>Degree</strong><br/>Biomedical science involves the study of human biology, health and disease. This course explores key clinical laboratory specialities such as medical microbiology, clinical biochemistry, pathology, and haematology and transfusion science. <br/><br/>You will have the opportunity to: <br/>• Study current and emerging techniques used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease aligned to key specialisms, including clinical genetics, biochemistry, haematology and transfusion science <br/><br/><br/><br/>• Learn advanced lab techniques in our Super Lab.
