In most contemporary organisations, people are recognised as the most important asset. If you’d like to work in a key role attracting, developing and engaging the right people, our Business Management with Human Resource Management degree could be right for you.
Employability is embedded throughout and by studying key business areas first, including accounting and finance, human resource management, marketing and sustainability, you’ll develop an excellent understanding of how organisations operate. And after that, you’ll be exploring all the contemporary challenges facing organisations and their workforce, including ethical leadership, employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, responsible business practices and the impact of digital tech on work and employment.
The structure of our degree allows you to progressively deepen your knowledge while also tailoring your studies through optional modules. This flexibility means you can explore areas of personal and professional interest in human resource management. In your final year you’ll undertake a substantial development and consulting project, allowing you to demonstrate your ability to integrate theoretical knowledge, research skills and practical insight into business and human resource management.
Your learning will go beyond lectures and seminars. Alongside the opportunity to complete a year-long industry placement, you’ll work on integrated case studies, and career-focused projects and assessments that bring business theory to life. You’ll be gaining valuable insights from visiting global brands such as Apple and Amazon. And you’ll be applying your knowledge to practical business simulations and real-world challenges that mirror the environments you’ll experience in industry.
Through close collaboration with our advisory board of industry professionals, we continually review and enhance the course to ensure it reflects the latest developments, skills and knowledge sought by employers. This means you’ll graduate with both academic understanding and the practical experience needed to succeed in a rapidly changing business world.
