Derby College

I am doing an online distance learning course and it has really opened my eyes up to the different opportunities that I have. The information I have been given is fantastic and the support has been incredible!

So far it has been wonderful, the lecturers are very motivating and all the lectures are video recorded which is extremely helpful for revision. There is also free bus passes for ALL students which is amazing and allows easy access to all parts of derby including all the uni campuses, train station and town. There is also a gym at the uni which offers a very good price for students and the bus drops you right outside there too.

Love it to bits Honestly couldn't be more happy with the course. The accommodation is amazing, really reliable and warm place, everyone is lovely and kind. All facilities are on point, not lacking on anything on any department Very lengthy and fascinating at the same time, you will not get bored i guarantee it Very small and cosy city, with no real problem

Overall my experience was good , the university it's self was a well organised community with lots of options and opportunities. The University alone is also a great place , lots of support , help , extras and again options .

Loving my course. Staff amazing and really supportive. My future is looking bright.

Personally I not a big fan because am originally from a big city I find derby too small

Make sure you throw yourself fully into it. And you will get the rewards

I found freshers week really beneficial before starting my first year at uni. I became familiar with the grounds and got to know some of the people that were also studying the same course as me.. I don’t stay in accomadaion as I drive there and back.. I find the library very useful for studying and catching up on work as it is quiet and ideal.i have yet to use any of the sports facilities although I do intend to.. I learn a lot of new information during my lectures and do overall enjoy my course.. There are lots of shops and facilities surrounding the university which is handy as nothing is ever far away. It is nice to get a break away from the university and visit surrounding shops and the city centre during the day and also at night when going out.. Make sure to reach deadlines with assignments, also try to obtain as much information as possible during lectures as it is very benefitial.

So far its great, ive met so many new amazing people. Tgey all seem so nice and eager to help out. The course itself is really challenging but itll all be worth it in the end

Fun and entertaining and got to meet a lot of new people. Was interesting to explore derby. Very basic and quite old as well as expensive. But does the job and there's maintenance Facilities are really good and work really well. Very hands on and helped out of lectures as well I'm from Birmingham than so I was used to a bigger city life than derby so it didn't bother me.
