If you are curious about how decisions are made and communicated, why we have certain structures and organisations and how they came to be formed, then this degree is for you. It enables you to approach key themes from both political and historical perspectives. You will gain a real-life understanding of the world of politics, looking at current practice in the UK, while also focusing on developments around the world. Historical context is provided by exploring key themes and events in modern history relevant to political and social development, from African-American civil rights to the origins of the Israel/Palestine conflict. You will graduate with key transferable skills, including the ability to conduct research, craft a message to communicate a point of view, and analyse complex information.
