This degree offers broad-based training in modern, pure and applied mathematics, together with a sound knowledge of key areas in contemporary statistics. It allows students to study both mathematics and statistics courses in each year of the degree. The degree develops valuable transferable skills in numeracy, analytical and logical reasoning and problem solving which lead to a wide variety of possible careers.

It is also a requirement of every applicant to have English and Mathematics at a minimum of National 5 Grade C or GCSE Grade C or 4 (or equivalent)
