**Explore educational psychology to understand what it means to be a student in an educational setting.**<br/><br/>Explore educational psychology and what it means to be a student in an educational setting.<br/><br/>As part of this course you’ll:<br/><br/><br/>- Investigate the place where the two subjects meet with a strong focus on research and enquiry<br/><br/><br/>- Look at how education should adapt to meet the needs of an individual to overcome difficulties and barriers to their learning<br/><br/><br/>- Explore research methods and the ethical issues associated with educational psychology<br/><br/><br/>- Take an active role in research to develop and apply your theoretical knowledge<br/><br/><br/>- Think about the future of education using psychology as a driver of change<br/><br/><br/>**Please note this course is not accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and completion will not lead to chartered Educational Psychologist status.** <br/><br/>**Find out more**<br/><br/>This course will enable you to develop graduate expertise in a variety of areas. You’ll be able to identify barriers to learning and devise strategies to help individuals to thrive in an educational setting. You’ll have specific knowledge of conditions such as autism, and a critical understanding of the local, national, and international contexts of education. Your understanding of policy-based responses will enable you to operate within a complex and rapidly changing landscape.<br/><br/>You’ll join a supportive academic community with access to a range of guest speakers who will share their experience and expertise on educational issues. Previous speakers have covered topics including social work, employability and enterprise activity and we have welcomed speakers from the Alliance for Inclusive Education.<br/><br/>Specialist facilities and learning spaces will enhance and inspire your academic and practical development. Your course and assessments will enable you to develop strong problem-solving skills.
