Challenge boundaries
Fashion is one of the worlds biggest industries. Its a reflection of society, identity, and culture, and can be a powerful protagonist for change. On this fashion design degree, youll explore fashion beyond temporary consumer trends.
One project exploring sustainability beyond fast fashion is our collaboration with global charity Oxfam - the Oxfam x Leeds Beckett Fashion Second Hand September project. This live brief challenges you to transform donated, unsaleable clothing into innovative fashion outcomes, promoting circular economy principles and reducing textile waste. You’ll gain experience in sustainable design, garment reconstruction, content creation, and fashion communication.
Fashion Alliance North
Fashion Alliance North brings together Northern universities and industry partners to strengthen fashion education, research, and graduate opportunities across the North of England. The collaboration supports emerging fashion talent, celebrates regional creative identity, and challenges London-centric assumptions around access and progression within the fashion industry.

Were committed to providing a fashion design course that responds to your individual personality, interests, and creativity. Youll work on diverse briefs to build a portfolio of professional skills that will help open doors to an array of careers in fashion.
