(4.8)·By Molly B·Accounting· Jul 2021
Very good, was a good way to meet people and get to know people Managed to get one on campus, was more useful in first year when finding new buildings as wasn't far from them Really good, always clean and tidy and well looked after All lecturers were really enthusiastic which made the course more enjoyable to learn Really nice city, not too big and overwhelming- good distance to everything

Tourism, Year 1

(4.3)·By Honor L·Other· Mar 2019
It was really good and was good to get to know other people. I live at home so I don’t know about accommodation. The facilities are really good and it offers somthing for everyone, in the library it is quite so people can easily get on with their work. They lectures were in depth which helped with the coursework, also they were interactive which was better for our understanding of the things we needed to learn. The city life is okay, Lincoln isn’t a big city so everything around you is quite close which is good, there are many shops and restaurants, also bars which are good to meet friends in.. You should know the amount of work you need to put in, in your own time and the expectations are very high so you need a good amount of detail in your work to pass or get a merit or distinction.

History, Year 1

(4.3)·By Shona E·History· Mar 2019
Freshers was amazing and really gave me a brilliant start to studying at Lincoln, created some really good bonds as wel

Lincoln offers a range of different accommodation for different people. My accommodation is a decent price and is good for the money and I am happy with the location and it’s facilities. The kitchen is shared between 6 of us and is an excellent size alongside the bedrooms

The library is exactly what you need, good opening times and a good atmosphere for studying. Classrooms are a good size and allow good discussions and lessons and the SU bar is way better than I expected

The Course stands out against most universities, it’s flexible and I am able to pick and choose as I would like and the lecturers who present the lectures are passionate and eager which makes them more engaging. The lectures are no boring and really push my learning

The city life in consideration to the university is extrodinary. The university is close to city centre and everything is accessible. The city is beautiful and there is no need for public transport or a car as everything is there. I love the city life and could not think of anywhere better to spend my university years

That it doesn’t matter which part of history you enjoy, as there is a bit of everything. Be prepared to try out new areas of study and you won’t be disappointed. Use your passion to drive it forward and you will love it. If you study history here you will never be bored

Psychology, Third Year

(3.8)·By Hannah S·Psychology· Oct 2018
My university experience has been such a learning experience for me in multiple ways. I have learnt so much about psychology from lectures but also about how to survive on my own!

The course lecturers are very kind and helpful and often provide help with assessments.

The student union is brilliant as it helps with multiple areas, in particular for me - careers advice.

Fine if you already have skills

(3.5)·By Olivia T·Design· Jun 2023
My course was fine material wise, but once it comes to actually teaching the software you need to know, they don't do it. They just give you a brief and say 'go', so if you don't know any software I'd say go to a different uni. Great if you already know software/how to teach yourself though.

Supportive

Support available and understanding for mental health needs. However often not enough staff/ teachers in to teach the course full time.

Media Studies, Year 2

(3.3)·By Laura M·Media Studies· Jul 2021
The week was useful as I managed to find out people on my course and where I would be going daily The accommodation is average, there are some seating areas but not much space indoors The library is great, very useful, the classrooms are useful, the student union is a little cramped or overcrowded The course is stimulating now that we are doing the work that I expected when I first joined City life is busy, but manageable, I know my way to the college and back to the nearest train station or bus station
