The Law LLB (Hons) degree provides essential legal knowledge and skills, as well as the opportunity to focus on areas of interest and to think critically about law’s role in society.<br/><br/>As a key social institution, law influences how we act and think, and is influenced in turn by changes in society, technology and the environment. Understanding the dynamic nature of law will equip students for a future career in a rapidly transforming world. Understanding the relationships between law, power and justice will enable them to pursue careers reflectively and create better futures.<br/><br/>Students will join a vibrant, supportive community on the Loughborough campus, with social justice at its heart. They will be taught by internationally recognised experts at the forefront of legal research and education. As part of the degree, they will be able to put their knowledge into practice, build their experience and confidence and gain insights into potential graduate work through a year-long external placement and/or pro bono work experience with relevant organisations. <br/><br/>Graduates will be well prepared for diverse career destinations, including legal practice; the public sector; policy and administration; journalism and communications; business and finance; national, international and transnational third sector organisations; entrepreneurship; research and higher education.
