Students study the fundamentals of programme design including object-oriented design, software development, computer organisation, systems and networks, theory of computation, principles of languages, and advanced algorithms and data. <br/><br/>The Business part of the programme covers a wide range of fields and considers the advantages and disadvantages of different approaches. It considers the challenges businesses face to achieve the objectives of their stakeholders, such as shareholders, consumers, government and wider society. Courses use case studies and examples from a wide range of business types, from entrepreneurs to global corporations. This explores the varying ways organisations can operate and be managed.<br/><br/>Students on this programme take one or more courses at the intersections of Computer Science and Business, and their studies culminate with a, typically integrative, Final Project.<br/><br/>Students develop programming and software development skills as well as critical thinking and analysis skills. They can also focus on innovation, marketing, and micro-economics. These valuable and transferable skills make them highly employable with a wide array of career opportunities.<br/><br/>**Interdisciplinary study**<br/>This degree programme combines a rigorous computer science and business syllabus with a personalised elective pathway.
