A fantastic opportunity

(5)·By Macey L·Art· Jun 2023
There are so many opportunities to meet new people and try new things, the teacher to student ratio is great so I feel I'm getting the most out of my university experience.

Great Course

(5)·By Emily D·Design· Jun 2023
The course has taught me an incredible understanding for design and motivated me throughout my time at university. I have made great friendships on the course and there is always something to be doing. The facilities are great, and there is so much new equipment for people and spaces to learn.

it was great!!

My university experience was very hit and miss, this was due to covid, I started just after the pandemic hit, and the university were amazing with the resources and learning they put up to help students that were stuck at home or in dorms. 2 &3 had brought a lot of teaching on campus and it is great, I have had a great time, but have struggled a bit due to being a student that travel in on the train and soemthing the scheduling not matching up, but still Able to catch up, overall a great university

Cinematics / Photography, Year 3

(5)·By Evie W·Photography· Jul 2021
I had an amazing experience! I got involved with various events and made so many new friends. Very modern accommodation, often have social areas which is great especially when wanting to make friends. The staff are kind and helpful too. Have all the facilities needed, especially important for me as I'm a photography student so having access to studios and rooms with editing software is essential. Very interactive and invoked reflecting upon each other's work. This meant we could get a lot of advice and feedback. Smaller city which was us generally very friendly and easy to navigate. You end up knowing lots of people who know other people and everyone mingles.

Art / Design, Year 3

(5)·By Jack I·Art· Jul 2021
Due to coronavirus we didn't have a freshers however virtual events were held for those that wanted to attend. They seemed interesting but I wasn't able to attend any I stayed at crown place for my first year which was brand new and very fancy! Would recommend if you can afford it Library is very organised and click and collect service is good, computer rooms are very easy to get to and clean The course is challenging but very rewarding. Being able to come out with a good final piece feels great The city is quite small and everything is easy to get to. Buses run constantly and there's lots of food places

Architecture, Year 2

Really involved. I've not come across a uni that managed to incorporate so much in a small campus

Very clean and always well maintained. You definitely get what you pay for and make friends for life. Incredible and innovative

Incredible. Offering hugh class tech and many specialists who know they're depth of field incredibly well. Never am I stuck for anything I need

Each one is tailored to the course and project which enhances my learning greatly

Has everything you need. Literally nothing more I could ask for

Be prepared for hard work. You don't do well doing the bare minimum

Animation, Year 3

(5)·By Kate R·Media Studies· Oct 2018
It's cool, I make cartoons and stuff, but mostly I make puppets and stop motion films. The teachers try really hard and the facilities are pretty great. Norwich is a fine city, pun intended, there's alot of pubs and fun stuff to do. I'm not gunna lie I would probably spend all of that money on booze if I won, so maybe it's better for my liver if I don't. But yeah anyway it's a good university.

Art and design, Year 1

Really friendly and helpful especially to us freshers. I absolutely love the freedom and creativity in my course and is shared with all the tutors. They're so understanding with all our issues and queries. There is so much student support as well as many facilities.

Norwich is amazingly friendly

(5)·By stanley s·Classics· Oct 2018
I'm studying here at the moment and I love it! The teachers are very good at what they do, giving us guidance, but not too much help (which I like). Both the uni and city are really friendly and welcoming, so I feel like I've really been accepted. I'm the happiest I've ever been I think, I've made lots of friends in halls :)

Design, Graduate

(4.8)·By Brandon A·Design· Jul 2021
Freshers week/s was a fun way to meet people and settle in. Since i was doing a foundation year i managed to get to be a freshers twice, met loads of people some of which are mates for life. at NUA there were a fair few themed nights, with daytime activities also. I stayed in All Saints Green as this was the only option other than Beechcroft, there's a few more options now like Pablo fanque, Crown and at benedicts gate, heard they're pretty nice and seem like a better choice Library is great, think it's the biggest creative library in the UK or something like that, there's not much in means of an SU bar or sports grounds but as the uni grows sports society's are popping up and they make use of the city campus using parks/leisure centres to train. Think the staff on NUA graphics are really there to help and if you apply yourself and turn up they seem to push you to get the most out of uni. Inspiring guest lectures almost every week from current big design firms, small freelancers and the occasional design celebrity. NUA seems to be highly ranked within the graphic design industry so there's always firms out scouting and setting briefs for the uni with placements for the best answers. NUA is a city campus uni, so it feels as if Norwich is a part of the uni itself, you seem to bump into everyone around the city, the market has a great selection of fresh, locally produced places to get food. Norwich is a extremely friendly and creative city with plenty of events which inspires working at an art uni.
