We also have links in countries including France, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and Spain. We also have similar links with international universities outside Europe, including the University of Queensland in Australia and Ryerson University in Canada.

Many of our European partner institutions teach in English, but to support your international placement, or future international aspirations, you can study a foreign language.

**Field trips**

As well as our onsite facilities, we also use the outside world as a resource for our teaching, including urban and rural areas in the UK, the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Tenerife and Iceland. Fieldwork is important for putting your learning into context and these are some of the richest learning experiences on the course.

**Networking opportunities**

We have an active student Geography Society that organises social and academic events including a programme of invited speakers.
