You could work with human cancer tissue, applying laboratory techniques used by researchers to understand disease and assess potential treatments. This hands-on experience gives you valuable insight into the work of professional cancer scientists.
You may also investigate microorganisms such as *E. coli* or explore how probiotics influence human health. Throughout your studies, you'll contribute to genuine scientific enquiry, developing the analytical, laboratory and problem-solving skills sought by employers across the life sciences sector.
Our partnerships with around 30 NHS Trusts across England provide strong links with healthcare professionals and employers, ensuring your learning reflects current practice, workforce needs and emerging developments in biomedical science.
While many graduates pursue careers as Biomedical Scientists, the broad biological, laboratory and research skills developed on the course also prepare you for opportunities across healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, public health and scientific research. o be investigating actual pathogens like *E. coli* or exploring how probiotics can help people lead healthier lives.
