Our programme goes beyond traditional journalism, embracing innovative methods of content production. From multi-platform journalism to digital and social media storytelling, students will explore and master the most current forms of journalism today. <br/><br/>Emphasising diversity, equality, and representation, the course is committed to teaching students the importance of these values within the news media landscape, with representation in the media forming a cornerstone of the course ethos. Students are encouraged to critically engage with the practice of journalism and its role in society. The outcome is graduates who are well-rounded journalists who are not only skilled content creators but also thoughtful contributors to the media landscape.<br/><br/>The foundation year course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to continue onto your Honours degree. You will study a range of subjects that will underpin your future study and also gain valuable experience of university life, with full access to campus facilities. Successful completion of the year allows you to progress straight onto Level 4 of this course.
