A market leader and world first in higher education, UCFB is dedicated to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the operational and business facets of the football, sports and events industries. Here at UCFB, we give each individual student the opportunity to study a traditional academic subject within the context of an industry for which they have a genuine passion and interest, whilst ensuring full transferability of education, skills and experience.
UCFB provides an exceptional environment to live and learn in, with award-winning facilities in two inspirational campuses; the iconic Wembley Stadium, London, and the state-of-the-art Etihad Stadium, Manchester, part of the modern Etihad Campus sporting facility.
Both campuses offer students the opportunity to study while overlooking the turf of these famous stadia, providing an inspirational and motivational setting for learning.
In our Etihad Campus, students also have the opportunity to utilise the likes of Manchester Regional Arena athletics centre; the National Squash Centre; the Regional Tennis Centre – a mix of indoor and outdoor courts fully floodlit to LTA standards; Belle Vue Sports Village, and the National Basketball Performance Centre.
UCFB’s active involvement in the football, sport and events industries means we have links with the likes of The Football Association and League Managers Association.
We offer unrivalled opportunities to undertake student placements and work experience with leading sports organisations throughout each degree programme. Students have recently enjoyed work placements with a number of renowned sports industry leaders including UEFA, The FA, Stoke City, the US Open and Rio 2016 Olympics.
This provides a unique experience for our students and it is our mission to ensure that we provide the best in-class graduates so they not only leave UCFB with a degree, but also with good references from a network of business contacts and a proven track record of work experience.
UCFB are proud to announce that 93% percent of graduates are in employment, with two thirds of those working within the football and sports industries.
In the UK alone, over 450,000 people are employed in the sports industry which is worth a huge £20bn. Both figures continue to increase and show no sign of slowing down. From marketing to coaching, media to finance and event management to psychology, new roles and new opportunities are presenting themselves on a daily basis.
Some of the institutions our graduates are currently working at include The FA, Manchester United, Stoke City, Opta, British Cycling and PwC in New Zealand.
