Fashion Image & Styling (with Professional Practice Year)

BA (Hons) Fashion Image & Styling with Professional Practice Year is a four-year degree programme, in year three you undertake a placement within the creative industries to further develop your skills and CV.

Stylist, Photographer, or Creative Director?

You’re inspired by the photographers, stylists, and creative directors whose work makes you stop and think. The editorials excite you, you’ve archived the campaigns, and are building an instinctive eye for what makes a fashion image land. This course is where that instinct is sharpened into a discipline and becomes a career.

You’ll work across the disciplines in fashion photography, styling, and creative direction as one fluid practice – moving between roles aligned with the industry. Today’s most in-demand creatives aren’t defined by a single title, but by their ability to shape an image from concept through to final frame.

Your tutors are active photographers, stylists, and creative directors, still working inside the industry you’re stepping into. The briefs reflect real creative practice and processes, collaboration is constant, and is designed for the kind of unexpected encounters that push ideas further than you thought possible. By the time you graduate, you won’t just have a portfolio – you’ll have an industry perspective. A creative voice that’s yours, and the technical confidence to make it translate on set, on page, and on screen.
