Study advanced physics topics and medical applications, open up a world of career opportunities.<br/><br/>From entropy and quantum mechanics to biophysics and imaging, you’ll have a good grounding in physics while expanding your studies to medical applications. Build problem-solving, programming, mathematical and teamwork skills.<br/><br/>You’ll explore the laws of the universe and specialised techniques for diagnosis and treatment. Benefit from using state-of-the-art study spaces, computing suites and laboratories. During your final year you’ll join a research group and apply your knowledge to an individual project, developing high-level research skills.<br/><br/>You’ll also deepen your expertise and choose advanced topics that most interest you. Our research spaces include our MC40 cyclotron that produces medical isotopes for the NHS and the High Flux Accelerator-Driven Neutron Facility that provides a unique capability for neutron radiobiology studies.<br/><br/>Graduate ready for an exciting future in a scientific environment or using transferable skills in different roles.
