Courses / Modules & Facilities

(5)·By Alicia·Criminology· Oct 2024
As a third-year student, I highly recommend this university for the wide range of criminology topics it offers for Criminology & Criminal Behaviour. Throughout the course, you’ll explore key criminological theories, strategies for crime prevention, and gain a deeper understanding of why people commit crimes, including the analysis of behavioral patterns and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). The facilities here are great. It’s a small campus, so getting around is easy and convenient. The food options are brilliant, ranging from the inside restaurant and street food vans to places where you can grab a quick hot drink at Costa inside. The Student Central is a fantastic hub, with a well-equipped library, spaces to hang out, and access to student support services where you can easily book an appointment. Also If you’re into music, the Tamsin Centre even has a music room you can book to jam out and practice.

I really like the university I am studying at. I feel comfortable and safe at campus and I like the teaching style. It didn't take me too long to adjust when I joined.

Specific learning needs

(5)·By Courtney S·Social Work· Jun 2023
I have really enjoyed being a student for the last 3 years. I have found it easy to navigate around the university and I have found all my lecturers to be really really helpful and understanding when it comes to specific learning needs, like dyslexia. I can't comment on accommodation as I was a student living at home.

Forensic Science, Year 2

(5)·By Antzela K·Forensic Science· Jul 2021
The freshers week was one of the best experiences in life . Met new people which is one of the most important thing . Also you find out the different opportunities that the university offers you in social life . University is not just about studying . I live at home . But that doesn't stop you from living a life as a student . My friends living at an accommodation and that say it's great Amazing . The library is always quiet , and give you the opportunity to book room for yourself online . You can also book a study room with your classmates to work on assignments . I love crime scene investigations . It's very interesting . They give the opportunity to work on labs which gives you a real view of the job . You can also work in groups which is more fun . The city was quite good . Even though I didn't live there a lot as I lived in a nearby city . It has everything that a student needs for the study life

Really nice, got to meet new people. Nice week to socialise and get familiar with your course Amazing! Help a lot... so many nice people to hang out with and just feels like home :) All facilities at University of Bradford are amazing! Love the library... so many books and easy work area to get work done effectively I really enjoy coding, so lab sessions are my favourite, where I'm about to code and make programmed. Lectures give you an understanding of what we will be doing in labs. City life is epic... shopping is close and food EVERYWHERE!! Best place for food and that's what I live for!!!

It was very informative and gave a great insight into engineering The accomodation is very secure and clean. The rooms have a good space. The kitchen is also good. The facilities are great! The course I study is chemical engineerint. It was very challenging and that's what I like about it. The lectures are always very engaging and we also have practical lab lessons to put theory into practical learning. Bradford city has amazing food and its only a 7 mins train from Leeds which has great city life

I really enjoyed freshers week. I got to meet lots of new people, and there were lots of stalls where I could check out the different societies at the university The accommodation is quite spacious and affordable. Security is also really great Library was quite useful as it's open 24/7. Also there are lots of things you can do in the student union The course is really informative but easy to follow as the teaching standard is really high I love Bradford. It is a vibrant city with a lot of nice food places and shisha lounges

Fantastic facilities & support

(4.8)·By Jiya M·Forensic Science· Oct 2024
I am currently enrolled in the Forensic Medical Science course at Bradford University, with a placement year, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The academic staff are incredibly supportive, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience from the field. Many of them have worked or are actively working in various forensic science areas, making lectures and practicals feel relevant and insightful. Their real-world experience adds a unique depth to the teaching, allowing students to learn not just theory but also how it’s applied in practice.

Additionally, the student life team at Bradford is outstanding. They’re always available and approachable, offering essential support that helps students balance academic and personal commitments. Their dedication to student welfare ensures a smooth and fulfilling university experience, allowing us to focus on our studies without feeling overwhelmed. Overall, I highly recommend Bradford University to anyone interested in forensic science or a related field.

I would highly recommend the university if you want to learn from the best for forensics, want a student life team who are willing to support, & from a university that takes pride in their students. A diverse university.
