In the first year of the programme, you will build a strong foundation for studying business, management and marketing at university level. You will develop key academic and professional skills such as communication, numeracy, critical thinking and independent learning, while being introduced to how organisations operate and how they engage with customers. Through project work and practical activities, you will begin to analyse business situations, interpret information and develop your problem-solving skills.
The programme uses a range of teaching methods to support your learning and development. Teaching typically takes place through lectures, seminars and workshops, where you will explore business and marketing concepts and apply them to real-world examples, including case studies and current industry issues. You will be supported to develop your academic skills as well as your creativity and communication.
As you progress, you will explore business and management in greater depth, alongside marketing topics such as consumer behaviour, digital marketing and brand strategy. You will develop your ability to evaluate information, think creatively, make informed decisions and respond to real-world business challenges.
