Preston Campus
We’ve recently invested GBP 200 million in transforming our Preston Campus to give it a world-class makeover. This includes a stunning brand-new Student Centre at the heart of campus, designed with your well-being in mind and including a relaxing rooftop garden. The campus is located a short walk away from the city centre, and all university-owned accommodation is closeby. There are plenty of cafes, both on-site and around the city, and our social spaces and student centre mean there is always plenty of room to socialise with friends or get your head down and study.

Student Life
Preston is an affordable and easy city to live in, with plenty to keep you entertained and affordable shops and food.
Preston is also the only city in the North West to have ‘Purple Flag’ status, awarded for the safe, diverse and affordable nightlife on offer.
The majority of UCLan students are eligible for free sports membership. For Preston Campus students, this includes the indoor Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre on campus, and the nearby outdoor sports arena, which houses an international-standard athletics track, cycle track, all-weather football and hockey pitches, tennis and netball courts, alongside facilities for strength and conditioning. We also offer free sports membership for Burnley students at the local St Peter’s Leisure Centre.
There’s plenty to do in Burnley with a campus surrounded by miles of open countryside, nearby Towneley Park, or heading into town and visiting the cinema, art gallery, or bustling market hall. There’s even live football at Burley FC’s Turf Moor Stadium.
