The University recently invested £200 million in their Preston Campus, to give it a world-class makeover. This includes a brand-new Student Centre at the heart of campus, designed with your well-being in mind and complete with a relaxing rooftop garden.

The campus is located a short walk from the city centre, and all university-owned accommodation is a short walk away. There are plenty of cafes, both on-site and around the city. With social spaces and student centre, there's also plenty of room to socialise with friends or get your head down and study.

The University of Lancashire is the perfect university experience for students on a budget.

Located in affordable Preston, there's plenty to keep you fed, cultured and entertained. Preston is also the only city in the North West to have ‘Purple Flag’ status, awarded for the safe, diverse and affordable nightlife on offer.

The majority of their students are eligible for a free sports membership. For Preston Campus students, this includes the indoor Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre on campus, and the nearby outdoor sports arena, which houses an international-standard athletics track, cycle track, all-weather football and hockey pitches, tennis and netball courts, alongside facilities for strength and conditioning. The university also offers free sports memberships for Burnley students at the local St Peter’s Leisure Centre.

There’s plenty to do in Burnley with a campus surrounded by miles of open countryside, nearby Towneley Park, or heading into town and visiting the cinema, art gallery, or bustling market hall. There’s even live football at Burnley FC’s Turf Moor Stadium.

Tuition Fees

Fees for UK students studying a full-time undergraduate degree are GBP 9,790 per year, fees for foundation years, accelerated degrees and sandwich years can vary and are listed on their website. Exceptions apply to non-standard degrees eg Medicine, BVMS or Bioveterinary Science, and different fees apply to EU/International students. Please check against your individual course on the website.

All fees are inclusive of all teaching, academic support and use of university facilities and equipment. However, some courses may incur additional optional costs – such as travelling to work placement locations.
