Our Japanese Studies (with Foundation Year) can help get you ready for higher education.<br/><br/>On our foundation year, youll learn essential academic skills with a focus on Japans historical, political and intercultural contexts. Youll be equipped with the tools needed for academic success. No previous knowledge of Japanese is needed.<br/><br/>Youll develop your research skills, intercultural communication and global awareness. This not only prepares you for further study, but for a range of careers across the world.<br/><br/>After you successfully finish the foundation year, youll progress onto BA (Hons) Japanese Studies. Here youll immerse yourself in the study of Japanese language, culture, and society. Youll get a deeper understanding of Japans role in the global landscape. And youll have the chance to spend a year abroad in Japan.<br/><br/>**Why study this course**<br/><br/><br/>- Youll explore a wide range of issues such as environmentalism, law and political systems with a focus on Japan.<br/><br/><br/>- Develop your digital literacy, reflective learning and independent research skills.
