Our BA (Hons) Games Design and Development will prepare you for a range of career options in this vibrant and fast growing industry. On this programme you will be guided through the creative components of the process from design concepts, programming, animation, VFX, storytelling, audio design, motion capture and user experience. Working closely with our award winning 3D Animation & VFX team and our newly launched BA (Hons) Esports programme you will gain an all round workflow experience enabling you to focus on a specialist area of your choice in the final year.<br/><br/>We will be exploring the emerging ideas in this area including advances in immersive technologies, and you will engage with industry with delegate attendance at events such as EGX. You will also have the opportunity to engage directly with a number of games development companies and experts from across the industry through master classes and mentoring. You will develop your portfolio to meet current industry requirements and develop a strong awareness of the needs of the industry as you develop your creative and technical skills.<br/><br/>This course is based at our state-of-the-art Tech Park, giving students access to industry-standard facilities, equipment and design software. As a part of the Department of Creative Industries you will benefit from our industry partnerships with companies including HyperX, DXRacer, Twitch, ARRI, and AVID, and be able to access to industry standard software such as Nuke, Maya and Houdini.
