You will bring your studies to life by combining theoretical learning with the development of practical laboratory skills. Throughout the course you will explore how pharmacological principles are applied to real-world challenges, including drug action, efficacy, drug discovery and drug design.
Our lecturers are actively involved in research, meaning your learning is informed by the latest developments in pharmacology and biomedical science. During your studies you will have the opportunity to take part in a research project in your area of interest, allowing you to evidence your skills in investigation, data analysis and scientific writing.
You’ll also get to study in our new Bioscience Superlab. This facility offers real-world, sector-relevant practical experiences and houses cutting-edge technology that enhances your learning and prepares you for your future career.
You can choose to take a placement year between your second and third year, giving you the opportunity to make valuable industry connections and gain real work experience to strengthen your CV.
