Learn to program the future and discover the exciting world of computing with our flexible course! This BSc Computing Science with Software Development course is a top-up degree course specifically designed for suitable candidates who study relevant Advanced Diploma or related programmes overseas.
Leveraging the strengths of the school, this course will provide 120 credits of learning, at Level 6. You’ll have two compulsory modules, and four optional modules grouped in four streams - on Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Computer Vision, and Human Computer Interaction. Each stream consists of two modules, each module worth 20 credits. Depending on your interests and aspirations, youll choose two streams as your major for your study.
We teach a variety of programming and scripting languages, including Java, SQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Youll use the same tools and practices used in the industry to develop software, learn about system development and database principles, and build a solid foundation in computing mathematics. In addition to lectures, seminars and lab classes, we use methods such as team-based learning and hands-on practice to ensure the best quality of learning.
You’ll also receive weekly English language and study support classes delivered by qualified teachers. Youll also gain transferable skills that will help your long-term development, such as working in teams, project management and presenting ideas.
IT industries are growing fast, providing various job opportunities each year. Jobs in computer sciences have one of the highest starting salaries. You can work as a software and computer games developer, data scientist, website designer or specialist in user experience (UX). You’ll also have huge career possibilities in cybersecurity, network and systems engineering.
