What is BSc Social Psychology?

Explore fascinating topics such as forensic psychology, antisocial behaviour, mental health, social groups and behavioural change. You’ll discover how social processes shape behaviour and influence the way individuals and groups interact.

You’ll develop strong skills in evidence-based thinking, research design and constructing well-supported psychological arguments. You’ll also gain valuable quantitative and qualitative research skills used to answer important real-world psychological questions.

If your interests evolve, you can switch to another Psychology pathway during year two.In year one, you may also transfer to a Year Abroad or Placement degree, subject to availability and academic requirements.

You’ll learn from supportive, expert social psychology lecturers whose outstanding research directly informs their teaching. Through lectures, small group sessions and guidance from your academic adviser, you’ll grow as an independent thinker. You’ll build confidence, strong communication skills and the ability to apply psychological knowledge in real-world contexts.
