Animation with Foundation Year

Our BA (Hons) degree in Animation with Foundation is designed to provide all the skills you need to get into the film, TV, visual FX or video game industries.

This Animation degree with Foundation covers a range of subjects, from 2D and 3D animation and storytelling to the technical computer graphic skills you need for animation practice. In your foundation Year, you will learn about visual strategy, visual storytelling and visual languages. Following the foundation, our industry-focused modules help you develop specific skills for work in VFX, film and television. These skills are also useful for other industries, such as design, advertising, or games.

To join this degree, you should provide a portfolio that shows your passion for storytelling, and animation, but no prior knowledge of animation practice is required. Popular career options for animation graduates include VFX and video games companies, animation and advertising studios.
