Our forensic science course offers a new crime scene facility with a purpose-built vehicle examination garage and modern lab spaces. We'll guide you through practical crime scenes and mass disaster scenarios, and you can try out a Disaster Victim Identification in our mock mortuary.

This forensic science degree contains a foundation year. If you don't have the traditional entry requirements or your background is in different subjects, you will be able to consolidate your skills before you embark on the three-year course.

Our new scenario-based investigation will offer an authentic style of teaching in year 1, 2 and 3  of the programme aligning theoretical knowledge to practical skills for forensic scientists, bringing to life the “Crime Scene to Court” approach with industry support from our partners at Forensic Access Limited. Learn how forensic techniques can impact on an investigative process with tasks set to challenge thinking and develop transferable skills at both crime scenes and in laboratories. Gain the confidence to report and present your findings in keeping with the Forensic Regulators Codes of Practice.
