This distinctive 4-year Optometry degree programme at the University of Hertfordshire integrates theory, science and practice from year one. Across all 4 years students will focus on achieving parallel success: as a professional clinician and as a scientist. Access to HE Diploma

Access to HE Diploma in Science, Medicine or Allied Health to include 60 credits overall (must include Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics) with 45 at Level 3, 30 of which must be at distinction (to include Biology or Mathematics) and the remaining 15 at merit. 15 credits must be in Biology and 15 credits in Mathematics.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

Pass International Baccalaureate (Diploma) with 136-144 UCAS tariff points including 2 Science Subjects (Maths accepted) at Higher Level (minimum level 5).

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

DDD

BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science, Medical Science or Biomedical Science at grade DDD or above, in addition to an A-Level in Biology, Maths or Physics at grade C or above.

5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including English Language and Mathematics

Minimum two A Levels from Mathematics, Biology/Human Biology, Physics or Chemistry). One A-Level must be from Biology or Mathematics. AS levels for subjects not studied at A level and the EPQ will be considered. Qualifications must have been achieved within the past five years (professional body requirement)
