From day one, you'll learn through practical design and making, developing skills in fashion design, garment construction, pattern cutting, textiles, digital technologies and visual communication. You'll explore the complete fashion product journey, from research and concept development through to production and presentation, preparing you for careers across the fashion and creative industries.

You'll join a vibrant creative community, collaborating with students from Costume for Stage and Screen, Film, Theatre, Drama, Games Design and other creative disciplines within one of the UK's leading arts environments.

Where could this take me?

Our graduates have worked for some of the world’s most reputable theatres and companies, including the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, the Royal Court Theatre, and the Bouffes du Nord, in Paris. Many also work in broadcasting, for Sky, Channel 4 and the BBC.

Olivier Award-winning playwright James Graham (This House - National Theatre) graduated from Hull in 2003. Others include musical director Martin Loew, theatre director Marianne Elliot, and artistic director of London’s New Diorama Theatre, David Bryne.
