Sir Tom Cowie Campus
Just a short walk away from City Campus is the Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St. Peter’s, which is located on the coast with picturesque riverside views and beautiful beaches on its doorstep.
Business, Law, Tourism, Education and Creative Industries courses are taught here, as is the main centre for computing and engineering. Sunderland’s Journalism courses are 2nd in the UK and Film Production and Photography courses are 3rd in the UK (Guardian University Guide 2026), reflecting their commitment to delivering high-quality education.
The campus is also home to the Media Centre, which includes a cinema, industry-standard TV studios, and the University’s very own radio station, Spark Radio.
