Physics with Astrophysics\
Physics gives you the tools to understand our world at a fundamental level, from the smallest sub-atomic particles to the large-scale structure of the universe.
By combining your study with astrophysics, you'll use the principles of physics, our dedicated astrophysics lab module and fantastic facilities such as the Beacon Observatory, to explore the cosmos - from our own solar system to galaxies and cosmology.

Physics with Astrophysics\
Physics gives you the tools to understand our world at a fundamental level, from the smallest sub-atomic particles to the large-scale structure of the universe.
By combining your study with astrophysics, you'll use the principles of physics, our dedicated astrophysics lab module and fantastic facilities such as the Beacon Observatory, to explore the cosmos - from our own solar system to galaxies and cosmology.
You'll also develop transferable skills to open up a world of job opportunities, leading to careers in the growing space industry, finance, manufacturing and technology.
If you don't have a science background or don't meet our entry requirements, you can take our foundation year.
Foundation Year
This course is designed for science students who do not meet the requirements for direct entry to Stage 1 of our degree courses. It is also an excellent conversion course for applicants who have shown academic ability in non-science subjects. We consider applicants without traditional academic qualifications who have relevant professional experience.
Year in Industry
Adding a professional placement year to your degree allows you to gain valuable work experience and discover how physics is applied in the real world. Your placement can take place in the UK or abroad and many pay a salary.
Year Abroad
You'll have the opportunity to spend your third year studying abroad at one of our partner institutions. This provides a wealth of personal and professional benefits. You'll experience a different culture, establish international contacts, grow in self-confidence and enhance your employability.

You graduate with an excellent grounding in scientific knowledge and extensive laboratory experience.
