The MCon Conservation of Cultural Heritage is a four-year Integrated Masters degree that blends theory with practical conservation skills. Students have the opportunity to gain extensive hands-on experience working with genuine historic objects provided by museums, historic houses, and private collections.<br/><br/>Youll study in our high-specification, purpose-built laboratories within the Universitys Peter de Wint Building. During this time, youll have the opportunity to develop expertise across a wide range of materials, time periods, and collections in their historical context. This programme offers students the opportunity to continue their studies at an advanced level. Year 4 helps you to explore topics in greater depth, including undertaking project work, that is designed to prepare you for professional practice or further research.<br/><br/>The city of Lincoln is bursting with history and the citys rich cultural heritage makes it an ideal location in which to study conservation. The course covers a wide range of topics, such as remedial treatment, preventive conservation and collections management, and investigative and digital heritage techniques.
