For complete and up-to-date information about this course, please visit the relevant University of Oxford course page via www.graduate.ox.ac.uk/ucas.</strong><br/><br/>The DPhil in Computer Science is a research-based course focused on original contributions in areas like algorithms, AI, quantum computing, cybersecurity, and software engineering, with supervision, skills training, and research seminars.<br/><br/>You will work with world-class experts in their field. Cross-disciplinary work corresponding to more than one theme, or involving researchers from other departments or from industry, is also possible. <br/><br/>The course combines individual supervision with a selection of lecture courses, transferable skills training and opportunities to participate in cutting-edge research activities. During your study at Oxford, the department hopes to share with you some of the excitement about the topics the department investigates, and of the understanding the department has gained from research into basic theory and by industrial collaboration.<br/><br/>The development of computer science at Oxford has been heavily supported by research grant funding from the government, EU and science foundations, as well as donations and sponsorship from the departments industrial partners.
