If you're interested in how people learn and how education can make a positive difference in society, this course will help you develop knowledge of both education and psychology and how they work together in practice.
You'll explore how schools, teachers and education systems support learning, examining topics such as teaching and learning, education policy, inclusion and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Alongside this, you'll study key areas of psychology, including child development, behaviour, motivation, memory, wellbeing and emotional development, gaining insight into the factors that influence how people learn.
Through project-based and problem-based learning, you'll apply theory to real-world educational issues and develop practical skills valued by employers. You'll also have opportunities to gain experience in schools and education-related settings, helping you connect your studies to professional practice.
Supported by experienced educators and Chartered Psychologists, you'll develop strong research, communication and analytical skills while learning how to use evidence to improve educational outcomes. When you graduate, you'll be well prepared for careers in education and related sectors, or for further study such as teacher training or postgraduate study.
