Theres always a need for skilled physiotherapists who know how to deliver safe, effective care in a way that promotes physical, psychological and social wellbeing.<br/><br/>A £5,000 per year training grant is available for home students. Further information is available on the NHS Business Services website.<br/><br/><strong>Why UWE Bristol?</strong><br/>BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) which means you will be eligible to apply for registration as a physiotherapist with both once you graduate - something youll need to do to practise in this field.<br/><br/>With work-based training built in, and outstanding onsite facilities, youll learn what constitutes good physiotherapeutic practice, and explore the theories and subjects that influence it.<br/><br/>Develop a holistic approach to your practice and learn from an inspirational, supportive team with a depth of physiotherapy experience in many areas.<br/><br/>Discover how to work with patients, their families and other healthcare professionals to support rehabilitation and wellbeing developing your inter-professional and interpersonal skills.<br/><br/>The course has a strong practical focus, incorporating case-based learning and opportunities to engage with patients and professionals on placements, in class and online.<br/><br/>Youll spend about a third of your time on placements in the NHS, and with specialist independent and voluntary sector employers, in a mix of environments.<br/><br/><strong>Where can it take me?</strong><br/>Physiotherapists are in demand across the UK, so there are lots of exciting job opportunities.<br/><br/>You could work in a hospital or the community for the NHS or independent sector, in private practice, in sports and leisure centres, or for private or voluntary sector employers.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
A minimum grade 6 in Higher Level Biology or Human Biology. We accept the IB Career-related Programme in conjunction with other Level 3 qualifications.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

You'll need a minimum of five units in Biology, Human Biology, PE, Sport or Sport and Exercise. You may be asked to do more based on the size of your units. Examples of BTEC units that meet our Biology requirement include: Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Sports Injury, Biomechanics, Nutrition, Genetics, Disease and Microbiology. We'll accept Extended Diplomas in Sport and Exercise Science and Applied Science. We'll not accept any other BTEC qualifications in Sport. Please list the units you're studying in your application. Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)
H1 in Biology or Human Biology.
GCSE/National 4/National 5
Grade C/4 or above in English, Mathematics and Double Science, or equivalent.
OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma
You will need a minimum of five units in Biology or Human Biology. You may be asked to do more based on the size of your units. Please email Admissions a list of your units for further clarification. We will accept Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity.
A level
Grade B in Biology, Human Biology or PE. 120 points from A2 subjects.
T Level
Science and Healthcare Science. If you partially achieve your T Level, you can meet our subject requirements if you have at least a C in your Core Section. For further advice on acceptable subjects please email us.
WJEC Level 3 Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales
We accept tariff points achieved from the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales in conjunction with other Level 3 qualifications. This qualification cannot be used to satisfy any subject specific entry requirements.
