University = the best years of your life. Period. The thought of not making the most of your three years as a student is practically a travesty (unacceptable, even) – so to give you serious peace of mind, we reckon it’s our duty as student travel experts to dish out some awesome tips on ways you can make the most of your time on campus:
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, there is no better time to enjoy the Alps than as a student! Remember to use your student status to your advantage, there are tons of student discounts available, reducing costs on your ski wear. Organise a large group and you’ll get an ace deal; you can even travel by coach! It’s kind on the old student loan and it’ll leave plenty for beans on toast galore during the semester. Take the atmosphere of SU nights to the mountains, add in 6 days of skiing or boarding and then throw in slopeside après from 3pm till dusk and you got yourself the best week a student can get their mitts on.
Ditch off your weekly spot at the union and head to Amsterdam – one of the party capitals of Europe. As a good proportion of Europe is accessible by coach it keeps the costs right down– and a rave in Amsterdam is a great way to bond with your society or group. Expect it to get messy!
Want to tailor make a trip that will benefit your course? Do it! Let’s face it, if you can get the chance to get out of the library then you should grab it with both hands… and the best thing is that you could tailor make the trip to fit your studies too! Studying a fashion degree? Paris it is! (FYI: You shouldn’t deny a girl the chance to take advantage of some Parisian retail therapy!)
50+ of your mates, all away together? You’ve gotta try it; it’s gonna be big!
